How GGU Can Help You Overcome Obstacles and Continue Your Education
Golden Gate University knows there is more to its students than academics and degrees. They strive to learn about – and care for – their student body. GGU offers services for students in several areas, including wellness, advising, tutoring and community. They also assist with accommodations through the Office of Accessible Education.
What is the Office of Accessible Education?
The Office of Accessible Education works with students to make accommodations for students with disabilities, modifications or services. Accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis and may include recording devices, interpreters or transcription services.
Melissa McNair is the Director of Accessible Education and says that her role involves working with students who have medical accommodations. She wants to "help support between the students and the faculty and coursework, and just to make sure everything runs smoothly."
What's your next step?
McNair advises that all students get in touch with the Office of Accessible Education to discuss their coursework and needs. They can reach her via email at melissamcnair@ggu.edu or by phone at (415) 442-7076. On campus, you can find this office on the first floor of the student services center. You can also make an appointment here.
Make the most of your education and the services offered to advance your chosen degree program and career.
