4 Reasons to Continue Your Studies at GGU — and Invite a Friend to Join You

Many people take this time to evaluate the past year and look at what they can improve on for the following year. Sometimes that means a new job or hobby, and sometimes that means getting more from what you are already doing. As a student at GGU, there are so many things available to you. If you have yet to experience them in the past few academic periods, make a note to take advantage of them in the Spring and Summer of 2023.

The Diller Center

As a military-connected student, you can access specifically designed services through the Diller Center. The carefully curated team of professionals represents veterans and military family members and knows first-hand the obstacles you're working through to transition from the military or work on your degree. They offer community connections, special events and coaching to help you succeed.

Campus Weeks

This fall, GGU started hosing Campus Weeks, where students can attend in-person classes, meet other students and explore the area. There are currently two more campus weeks scheduled for February 6-10 and March 20-25, 2023. You'll be able to see the schedule online beforehand to see what's available.

The fall campus weeks included therapy dogs, career services sessions with tips on LinkedIn and opportunities to meet faculty members and professors. Oh, and food. You'll find something new to try, from a pizza party to a breakfast grazing table and from tacos on Tuesday to meet-ups downtown.

Community Support

College students may need help finding resources available when needed, and GGU helps with that. The new health and well-being support program, TimelyCare, provides virtual care 24/7 on demand from your phone or computer. This free service is just an example of how GGU saw and filled a need.

GGU also provides an international student body, allowing you to learn more about other countries and cultures. There are students from 34 countries and GGU helps them with VISA paperwork, housing and other things they may need.

Community support and fun are essential to your college experience, especially when you spend so much time working and studying.

Earn Credits with GGU Aspire

In collaboration with Study.com, GGU introduced GGU Aspire in 2019. This program allows students to decrease the time and cost it takes to earn their degree. Through the collaboration, students earn credits on Study.com and then transfer those credits to GGU. There are over 220 credit-eligible courses online, and the learning process is completed by watching videos, taking short quizzes and taking a final exam.

Join a strong community of military veterans and their family members by connecting with other students at GGU.
