“In the Winter of 1968, I dropped out of my senior year at Fairfield University. While there were several avenues for "finding ones-self" in those days, I joined the Air Force. After Basic Training, I was assigned to Travis AFB in Northern California. GGU had programs on base, and I enrolled in some night classes in the graduate program. In 1970, I was granted a term back at Fairfield to complete my undergrad program through the Air Forces Operation Bootstrap. Returning to Travis, I completed my MBA at GGU in 1972. Having earned a teaching credential in the meantime, I was hired by GGU to teach some undergrad courses at Travis. I managed to squeeze in the LSAT while back East, and after completing my tour of duty, Dean J. Lani Bader saw fit to allow me to enter the Law School. I earned my J.D. in 1980, and about seven years later was appointed by U.S. Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese and the Assistant U. S. Trustee for the Southern District of New York. GGU even gave me an employee discount for part of the Law School Tuition, which made the GI Bill®️ go a long way. I was treated well by GGU, I found the experience valuable.”
