Assessments in the Hiring Process

Watch the replay below!

Join us for a conversation about the use of hiring assessment tools, and what you can expect if you’re asked to complete one.

Many employers are finding the use of pre-employment assessments helpful when validating a candidate’s stated skills, and also determining if the candidate is capable of doing the job. Giving a technical assessment that measures skills like typing or software fluency, asking a candidate to produce work samples, role-playing to gauge customer service skills, and even administering a math test are all examples of the types of assessments that employers might utilize.

During this event, we’ll cover:

  • What is an assessment?

  • Why should you, as a job seeker, take an assessment?

  • Why might an employer use an assessment in the hiring process?

  • What to expect with an assessment in the hiring process and is there such thing as preparation?
