GGU Named a 2026 Top Veteran School

A milestone worth celebrating, and a mission that goes back more than 100 years.

Golden Gate University has been named a 2026 Top Veteran School by U.S. Veterans Magazine, our second consecutive recognition from the publication. It belongs to every veteran, military spouse and service member who has walked through our doors and to the team at the Helen Diller Center for Veterans of U.S. Military Service that shows up for them every day.

U.S. Veterans Magazine covers military life and the transition to civilian careers for veterans nationwide, from education to employment to health and finance. Its Top Veteran Schools list highlights colleges and universities that go above and beyond for the veterans they serve.

This isn't new territory for GGU. We've been serving veterans since 1918, when we welcomed service members home from World War I. By 1967, that commitment had grown to nearly three dozen teaching locations on military bases. Almost a century later, the mission hasn't changed. What's changed is what we're preparing veterans for.

Today, that means preparing you for the job market AI is reshaping. Every GGU program, from business and accounting to psychology and technology, builds AI skills directly into the coursework. When you graduate, you already know how to use it in your field.

That preparation happens through the Helen Diller Center, which walks students through the entire path: onboarding and VA benefits navigation upon arrival, academic coaching while you're here, and career and transition support as graduation approaches.
